In this cluster of pots, I have a plant that I brought from California which was given to me by a very dear friend. (This plant can grow in the sun, too.) I finally learned the name of it a couple months ago when I visited the UNCC Botanical Gardens and saw one there and was able to ask someone what it was. After not knowing its identity for years, I was thrilled to find out what it is. It is a Silver Squill (Ledebouria socialis).

I also have a fuchsia - well, more like 5 of 'em in one pot - that I rooted from cuttings. I'm pretty pleased with myself for that. Although, truth be told, it really isn't that difficult. In the brown pot, there is another plant, Dischidia geri, that I also grew from a cutting. It seems to grow very slowly, though.

And in my pot of Wintergreen and Lobelia, I found this adorable cluster of mushrooms. I love the way the colors of the Lobelia look with the mushrooms. And these are just some of the shady characters lurking in my garden.

Oh! The picture of the mushrooms is awesomely adorable!!!
ReplyDeleteLovely blog post. :)
