Eleanor and Aethelflaed...

While we were in Maryland, we attended a Costume Dinner and Dance. The requisite for the costumes was that they be of historical characters. Kirstin chose to go as Eleanor of Aquitaine. I had already made the dress for a previous "dress up" occasion and she added the gold trim. Julie picked Aethelflaed, Lady of the Mercians and told me generally what she wanted her costume to look like and I obliged. I think both costumes turned out very well. (Yes, this still is a garden blog, but, after all, aren't they my lovely flowers?)

Have a beautiful day!
